     John Farrer was baptized on 28 July 1611 in Heptonstall, Halifax, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of Jacob Farrer and Mary Haughton.1 He married Joanna.3 He died on 11 July 1690 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at age 78.1,4
     
     John Farrer was called "elder sonne" and was appointed executor in his father Jacob Farrer's will dated 31 March 1639.5 Click to view image About 1652 John Farrer and his younger brother Jacob emigrated from England to New England and settled at Dedham, Massachusetts.3 The brothers soon moved to Lancaster, and in 1656 John went to Woburn where he lived until his death.3 He left a will dated 29 June 1687.3 He and Joanna (—?—) (Farrer) had seven children.3
