     Joseph Farwell was born on 24 July 1670 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Ensign Joseph Farwell and Hannah Learned.1 He married Hannah Colburn on 23 January 1695/96 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2 He died on 21 August 1740 in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at age 70.3
     
     Joseph and Hannah Farwell had ten children.2
