     Nancy Hanks was born on 5 February 1784.1 She was the daughter of James Hanks and Lucy Shipley.1 She married Thomas Lincoln on 12 June 1806 in Washington County, Kentucky.3 She died on 5 October 1818 in Gentryville, Spencer County, Indiana, at age 34.1
