     Catharine Morris was born on 10 September 1778 in Hilltown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Morris and Mary Mason.1 She died on 27 October 1838 at age 60.1,2 She was buried in Lower Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery.1,2 Click to view image
     
     Reverend Joseph Mathias wrote in his journal:
Catharine the second daughter, was in her youthful days reckoned the flower of the flock, was handsome - smart and conceited; She has had a number of admirers, notwithstanding it has been her fortune to remain single; she keeps house for her father and brother Jehu; She joined the Hilltown church in 1806. being the first person I ever baptized.3
