Jonas Butterfield was named in the distribution of his grandmother Deborah Farrar's estate ordered at Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 20 September 1810: "pay to each child of of Molly Butterfield dec'd. who was a daughter & the wife of Jeremiah Butterfield viz. Solomon, Polly, Sally, Joseph, Timothy & Jonas..."2
