     John Bascom Lee was born on 14 March 1817 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.3 He married Elizabeth Jared Simmons, daughter of John Simmons and Naomi Jared, on 20 February 1833 in Putnam County, Tennessee.2,4,3,1 He died on 4 June 1857 in Wright County, Missouri, at age 40.3,1
