     Jesse Fletcher was born on 9 November 1762 in Westford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Timothy Fletcher and Bridget Richardson.1 He married Lucy Keyes on 8 August 1782 in Westford.2
     
     Jesse Fletcher and his brother Josiah Fletcher moved in 1783 to Ludlow, Windsor County, Vermont, where they were among the first settlers.3 He and Lucy Fletcher had fifteen children.3
