Aboite Township, organized in May 1836, is located in western Allen County. The Little Wabash River flows through the southern edge of the township.

     Aboite Township communities include: Ellisville, Forest Ridge, Liberty Hills, Manor Woods, Rolling Hills, Timbercrest and Westlawn. The community of Aboite is located on the Aboite and Lafayette townships line, and Dunfee is located on the Aboite Township (Allen County) and Jefferson Township (Huntington County) line.
