In the name of God Amen, I William Clarke of appoquinimink Hundred, New Castle County, Dellaware State, being sick and weak of body, but thanks be to God of a sound and Dis--ing mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in maner and form following (to wit)
item I Give and bequeath my Soul to God who gave it and my body to the ground to be buryed in a Christian like and decent manner at the Discretition of my hereafter named Executor....
Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Hannah all the personal Estate she were indowed with at the time of our marriage, that is to say such goods as were moved home with me from her former place of residence, also my white horse and Carrage, with a negro woman named Jude and her Child Priscila, Likewise fifty pounds which is now due from Price Clark, the same being in place of her Dowery of my real and personal estate.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son John Clark all that plantation or part or tract of land I purchased of William Ball of the City of Philadelphia, situated laying and being in the Hundred and County Apd with all and singular the appertainances whatsoever to him his heirs and assigns for ever, on his paying the sum of three hundred pounds unto Elenor Clark Goldsborough, and the sum of three hundred pounds unto William Clark Goldsboroug, Children of Thomas and Rachel Goldsborough, as they severally arive to the age of twenty one years. Further I give to my Sd Son John Clark one fourth part of the crop of Indian corn now growing on Sd plantation and one fourth part of a crop of wheat to be sowed this season and to take full possession of Sd plantation the first day of March next, Then, after my just debts are paid, my will is that all the remainder of my Estate Both real and personal be Equally divided between my four daughters Margaret, Rachel, Jane & Martha, and my son William Clark to them their heirs or assines for Ever, Share and Share Alike -- and I hereby nominate and appoint my above named son John Clark whole and Sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this Fifteeth day of July one thouand, Seven hundred Eight and six 1786
