Picture Description: | This oil portrait was given to William Cordrey Horn by John Ayres Cordrey and is now owned by Bill's widow Jean, who told the writer that she knows it is a Cordrey ancestor, and she believes it is Thomas. Therefore, the identification is not certain. The portrait is beautifully rendered and is in an oval frame. Jean says when Bill was given the portrait, it was almost black with coal dust from the fuel most commonly used in Fort Wayne at that time. | |
