     Ami Underwood was baptized on 19 May 1795 in Tyngsborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2,3 He was the son of Asa Underwood and Mercy Durant.1 He died on 2 June 1865 at age 70.4 He was buried in Woodbine Cemetery, Dracut (now Lowell), Middlesex County, Massachusetts. "He was earnest and zealous in the cause of Christ."3,4
     
     Ami and Loa were twins according to Massachusetts vital records.5 He probably never married.
