I can only positively identify the three youngest, Anna, Bertha and Ed, and the portrait of their father, James Monroe. The others are tentatively identified based on what seems a clear pattern in their seating arrangement. That is, since the three youngest are seated, it makes sense that the three oldest are standing. It is almost certain that Sue, the oldest, is standing in the middle as "head" of the family. The siblings are listed here in birth order. Hover over each name, oldest to youngest, to see the pattern.
