Sergt. John Hall married Elizabeth. He died in 1677.1
Sergt. John Hall of Greenland in the township of Dover signed the Dover Combination on 20 October 1640. He was a sergeant by 1649 when he exchanged his 20 acre lot on Back River for Hatevil Nutter's land and marsh in the bottomof the Great Bay near Capt. Champernowne's farm, where he made his home. In 1660 Leonard Weeks was calling him "old dog." He served on the grand jury in 1664 and 1666.1 His will dated 29 August 1677 names wife Elizabeth, children Joseph and granddaughter Sarah Hall, executors children Joseph and Sarah.1
