William Farrer was of in Erringden, Halifax, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Ferror.2 He married Margaret Bannister, daughter of George Bannister and Margaret (—?—) (Bannister), on 12 December 1575 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.3 He died before 15 April 1586 in Erringden.4 He was buried on 4 October 1605 in Heptonstall, Halifax.5
William Farrer was a clothier.1 On 6 December 1575 "(6 Dec. 18 Eliza.), Henry Ferror of Hollinhey, in performance of certain Indentures, between himself and Margaret Bannester, late wife of George Bannester, of Haddershelf, granted and confirmed to his younger son William Farrer, and to Margaret, daughter of George Bannester, deceased, the two Symhouses, the close called Syming, and the south part of the Hallfield, as a settlement on their marriage."6
The will of William Farrer, dated 16 October 1603, was proved 11 June 1606 by Abraham Farrer and Isaac Farrer, executors. He bequeathed to his wife Margaret and sons Jacob, Abraham and Isaac.7
