Henry Ferror was of Sowerby, Halifax, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Ferror and Agnes (—?—) (Ferror).2 He died before 15 April 1586 when it was recorded on a Court Roll that "John Ferrow, son and heir of Henry Ferror, late of Hollinhey, deceased, came to Court and gave fine to the lord of 20s. 6d. for heriot of a messuage called Symhouse and a close called Hollinhey, in the graveship of Sowerby, late in the several tenures of Henry Ferror and John Kempe."3

Henry Ferror owned a messuage (a dwelling-house with outbuildings and land assigned to its use) called Symhouse and land called Hollinghey by surrender of his father on 26 March 1539.1 He built a house there which he called Hollinhey, from the close of that name.4
Henry and William Ferror were named by their father Henry Ferror as supervisors of his will, in his will dated 25 June 1548.5
Henry Ferror's brother William made him a supervisor of his will dated 28 December 1571. He was also one of the witnesses.6
On 6 December 1575 by deed he settled Symhouse and other property on his younger son, William.7
