Peninnah Mathias
The photograph came from the Underwood home, and upon it, "Peninnah Mathias" is clearly written. Because her mother died before the days of photography, it is assumed the photo is of the daughter. She was a first cousin to Euphemia Morris Hanks, mother of Louisa who married Joe Underwood. It is unlikely that Peninnah married because she appears past middle age in the photo labeled with her maiden name.
