     Morris Morris was the son of William Morris and Ann Griffith.1 He married (—?—) Springer in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.1
     
     Reverend Joseph Mathias wrote in his journal:
Morris, _ was a good scholar, learned the art of surveying with his uncle Cadwallader Morris _ while single he Journeyed to the western part of Pennsylva he married the daughter of a Squire Springer in Fayette County lived in Union Town in said county, was respected and promoted; he was elected to the office of high Sherriff of Fayette County, he died a few years ago leaving a widow and children; in rather embarrassed circumstances; through the turn of the times, when many were distressed and reduced in property.2
