Morris Cadwaladr was baptized in 1653 in Llanycil, Merionethshire, Wales. He was the son of Cadwaladr Maurice and Ann. He married Catherine Griffith, daughter of Griffith ap Evan, on 6 January 1684/85 in Llanfor, Merionethshire, Wales.1 He died before 1698 in Wales.
The 1685 marriage record of Morris Cadwaladr and Catherine Griffith does not prove that this particular couple were the parents of Cadwalader Morris. However, names, date and location support the belief that they were. Morris Cadwaladr almost certainly died in Wales before 1698 as there is no record of him in Pennsylvania. Cadwalader Morris was probably the only child of this couple, or at least, the only one who was living in 1698 when he and his mother left Wales.
The 1685 marriage record of Morris Cadwaladr and Catherine Griffith does not prove that this particular couple were the parents of Cadwalader Morris.
