     Asa Thomas was born in February 1758.2 He was the son of Thomas Thomas and Mary Williams.1 He married Martha James, daughter of Abel James and Mary Howell, circa 1783.3,4 He died on 8 May 1839 at age 81.4 He was buried in Lower Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery.4
     
     Asa Thomas was of short stature with broad shoulders, had light brown hair, blue eyes and florid complexion. He was a stone mason by trade, and also a shoemaker and farmer.4

Additional Data
Asa Thomas served as a private in the American army, and was in his twentieth year when he was in the Battle of Brandywine in September 1777.2

Asa Thomas was mentioned in his father Thomas Thomas' will dated 27 May 1778 in Hilltown Bucks County, Pennsylvania.5
