     Elizabeth Everett was born circa 1794 in North Carolina.1 She married Micajah B. Munson, son of Jesse Munson, between 1817 and 1819 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.2 She married George Orr.3 She married Major Samuel Whiting on 27 January 1838 in Magnolia Hall, Galveston Bay, Republic of Texas.4 She died in 1846 in Liberty County, Texas.5
     
     Elizabeth Everett appears in the Atascosito District census of 31 July 1826. According to the census, she was born in North Carolina and was the 32 year old wife of Micajah B. Munson. Also enumerated were their two daughters, Ann Eliza and Martha.6

     Elizabeth remained at the Trinity settlement after Micajah's death, and title to his claim was finally granted by the Mexican Government, 27 Jan 1831: "Elizabeth Munson, widow of M. Munson, deceased, native of U.S. of the north and residing in this dept. since 6 years..." title to one league of land in the Atascosito District, described as "adjoining and below the league of land surveyed for Henry W. Munson."7
