     William Pearce Jr. was born in 1782 in Screven County, Georgia.1 He was the son of William Pearce and Sarah Bray.1 He married Frances Tanner, daughter of Robert Tanner and Providence Robert, in 1812 in Woodville, Wilkinson County, Mississippi Territory.1 He died in 1842 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.1
