He was captured on 4 July 1863 at Vicksburg, Mississippi, and was paroled according to the terms of capitulation entered into by the commanding generals of the United States and Confederate forces.7
J.N. and Harrite Horn appeared on the 1 June 1880 Federal Census of Centre township, Attala County, Mississippi, enumerated 23 June 1880. Their children Alonzo and Luther were listed as living with them.8
