3rd great-grandaunt of Laura Jane Munson.
Family Background:
Underwood and Allied Families
Sally Deuren was born on 16 June 1769 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2 She was the daughter of Jacob Durant and Mercy Farrar.1 She married Abijah Davis on 29 November 1792 in Tyngsborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.3 She died in 1801. She was buried on 21 September 1801 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.4

Sally's birth date is apparently correct as it appears the same in the town and church records. Either the date of her parents' marriage, 23 February 1769, which appears only in the town records, was entered (or transcribed) incorrectly. or Sally was conceived before their marriage. It being unlikely that a pre-marital affair would have gone unnoticed in the records, it is possible that her mother Mercy was married before, lost that husband soon after Sally was conceived, and married Jacob four months before Sally was born.

Additional Data
An unidentified child of Abijah and Sally Davis, both deceased, was buried on 1 September 1803 at Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.5

Sally Davis was named in the distribution of her grandmother Deborah Farrar's estate ordered at Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 20 September 1810: "pay to the children & grand children of Mercy deceased who was a daughter & the wife of Jacob Durant; viz... to the children of Sally Davis a daughter of Mercy..."6 Click to view image
