     Mary Durant was born circa 1780.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Durant and Mercy Farrar. Marriage intention for Mary Durant and Joseph Caldwell was published on 2 July 1804 in Tyngsborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.2
     
     Mary also went by the name of Polly.

Polly Durant was named in the distribution of her grandmother Deborah Farrar's estate ordered at Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 20 September 1810: "pay to the children & grand children of Mercy deceased who was a daughter & the wife of Jacob Durant; viz... to Polly Durant a daughter of the first Mercy..."3 Click to view image
