Pharaoh Cobb was born in Warrosquyoake County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Joseph Cobb and Elizabeth Flinton.2 He married first Ann before 10 April 1671.3,4 He married second Jebrah before 9 January 1679.4 He married third Mary after 20 February 1686/87.3,4 He died before 31 May 1701 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia.1

[Lower Parish, Isle of Wight County, Virginia] which land was sold by Pharaoh Cobbs and Elizabeth, his mother to Saml. Haswell and is now in the possession of Richard Reynolds, Jr., and Eliz. his wife the dau. of the said George Williams and lawful inheritrix. Now, we Richard Hutchins and Elizabeth. His wife, the dau. of Joseph Cobbs, Jr., dec. the eldest son of Joseph Cobbs, Sr., dec. for 1000 lbs. tbco. sell to Richard Reynolds, Jr., and confirmed by Richard Hutchins and wife Eliz. of Western Branch Nansemond County. 10 April 1671.8,4
On 9 January 1678/79 Pharaoh Cobb and Jebrah his wife made an agreement with Henry Wiggs to settle a controversy over fifty acres of land sold by Pharoah's father Joseph Cobb.9,4
On 1 May 1679 it was ordered that Mr. Pharoah Cobb deliver to "Francis Hutchins Junr. as having Married Elizabeth Cobb, Orphant," five cows, one sow and one iron pot "which was comitted into his Custody belonging to the said Orph."10
Pharraoh Cobbs for 1100 lbs. T. sells to John Hole of Devon, gent., for 99 years 140 acres on Harding's line and Col. Smith's line. 20 Feb. 1686. Teste, John Giles. No wife joined Pharoah when he signed the deed.11,4
Indenture, 9 July 1693, between Richard Hutchins and Elizabeth. His wife of Western Branch Parish in Nansemond County and Col. Arthur Smith of Lower Parish. Richard Hutchins and Elizabeth., his wife, dau. and only heir of Joseph Cobb, the Younger who was son and heir apparent of Joseph Cobb, the Elder, now both deceased, for consideration of 2250 lbs. tbco. paid by Col. Smith, deeds him 130 acres [Isle of Wight County, Virginia] adj. Smith, running to Mr. Hardins and Cobbs, to Pharaoh Cobbs to John Hole. (signed) Richard (RH) Hutchins.12
The inventory of Pharaoh's estate was recorded in Court in 1701. The appraisal was made 31 May 1701 by James Bragg, Nathaniel Berry and Henry Applewhaite Jr. The estate valued at 9762 pounds of tobacco was divided into three parts, which indicates a wife and two children. That one of the children was Joseph Cobb is confirmed by a deed. The name of the other child is unknown, probably a daughter.1,4
