     Peter Deberry of Surry and Isle of Wight Counties, Virginia, first appears in the Surry Records 6 March 1664/65.2 He was in the militia of Surry County in 1687.3

Peter Deberry's will, dated 30 December 1712, and probated in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, 28 Mar 1712/14, mentions his daughter Priscilla, wife of Zacharias Madera, daughter Sarah, wife of John Warren, son John, wife Elizabeth and brother John Brantley.4
