     Abraham Chase was born on 10 January 1683 in Martha's Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Lieutenant Isaac Chase and Mary Tilton.1 He married Abigail Barnard in 1709.1,2 He married Mercy Nickerson on 5 March 1732.2 He died on 21 December 1763 at age 80.2 He was buried in Crossways Cemetery on Mount Aldworth Height, Vineyard Haven, Dukes County, Massachusetts.2
     
     Abraham Chase was a ferryman, innholder and trader at Homes Hole (now Vineyard Haven).2 His will dated 1 February 1760, was probated 5 March 1764.2
