     John Robinson was baptized on 5 April 1640 in Barnstable, New Plymouth Colony.1,3 He was the son of Isaac Robinson and Margaret Hanford.1 He married Elizabeth Weeks, daughter of William Weeks, on 1 May 1667 1 or "about the middle of May" 1667.4,5

John Robinson was mentioned in his granduncle Timothy Hatherly's will dated 20 December 1664 in Scituate, New Plymouth Colony.6

John Robinson was of Saconessett, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, (Falmouth) 6 March 1665/66.7

Children of John and Elizabeth born before 1677 are entered on the Barnstable town records as born in that town; the other chidlren, except those who died in infancy, are entered on the church records.7

John Robinson was a freeman of the Colony in 1682, and deputy from Saconessett or Falmouth to the Colony Court in 1689, '90 and '91.7

The family continued to reside in Falmouth until April 1714 when they moved to Connecticut.7
