     Mary Stowell was born on 27 November 1693 in Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of William Stowell and Sarah (—?—).1 She was baptized in December 1693 in Hingham.2 Marriage intention of Mary Stowell and Nathaniel Pitty was published 10 July 1714 at Weymouth, Massachusetts.3 She died on 20 April 1740 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, at age 46.3
     
     Mary Stowell was a posthumous child.3 On 4 January 1710/11, Mary Stowell, daughter of William Stowell, deceased, late of Hingham, age 18, chose "my trusty friend, John Lewis, blacksmith, to be my guardian."4 She and Nathaniel Pitty had seven children.5
