     John Garnet was born on 4 January 1683/84 in Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of John Garnet and Mary Stowell.1 He was baptized on 3 March 1683/84 in Hingham.2 He married first Rebecca Ripley on 22 November 1711 at Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.3 He died on 20 April 1742 in Hingham, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 58.3
     
     John Garnet and Rebecca Ripley lived in Liberty Plain, South Hingham.3 They had nine children.3
