     John King was born on 30 November 1762 in Biddeford, York County, Maine.2 He was the son of David King and Elizabeth Gray.1 He was baptized on 11 August 1765 in First Church of Pepperellborough by Rev. John Fairfield.3,4 He married Anna Betsy Hawkins, daughter of Robert Hawkins and Rachel Buck, circa 1783 in Williamstown, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.2 He died on 2 November 1855 in Dresden, Washington County, New York, at age 92.5 He was buried in Clemons Cemetery, Dresden Station, Washington County, New York.5
