     Samuel Richardson was born on 22 May 1646 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Samuel Richardson and Joanna Thake.1 He married first Martha.1 He married second Hannah Kingsley on 30 September 1674 at Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He married third Phebe Baldwin, daughter of Henry Baldwin and Phebe Richardson, on 7 November 1676 at Woburn.3 He married fourh Sarah Hayward on 8 September 1680 at Woburn.3 He died on 29 April 1712 in Woburn at age 65.1,4
     
     Samuel Richardson and Martha (—?—) (Richardson) had four children. Of them, five year old Thomas, a twin, was slain by Indians the same day as his stepmother and infant half-sister, both named Hannah.5 He and Hannah Kingsley had one child, a daughter Martha who as a newborn was slain by Indians the same day as her mother.4,6 He and Phebe Baldwin had one son, Zachariah, who was born in Woburn. He and Sarah Hayward had nine children.7
