Thomas Stedman was the son of James Stedman and Agnes Asshenden.1
Thomas was named in the will of Gilbert Stedman, his uncle, dated 8 July 1588 in Biddenden, Kent, England,: To Thomas Stedman son of James Stedman a brode loom with all the tacklings belonging thereto, in full satisfaction of a debt of 12s. which I owe him, he paying 6s. 8d. each to Isack Stedman and John Johnson, as before specified.2
