     Bathsheba Leavens was born on 5 November 1759 in Mansfield, Tolland County, Connecticut.1 She was the daughter of James Leavens and Bathsheba (—?—).1 She married Amasa Stowell, son of Jonathan Stowell and Rhoda Wilson, on 21 February 1785 in Mansfield, Tolland County, Connecticut.1 She died on 27 September 1822 at age 62.1
     
     Bathsheba and Amasa Stowell had six children.2
