     Joseph Woodsum was baptized on 16 April 1732 in First Church, Berwick, York County, Maine.2 He was the son of Joseph Woodsum and Abigail Abbot.1 He married Elizabeth Quint on 14 January 1747/48 in Berwick, York County, Maine. Their marriage was solemnized by Rev. Jeremiah Wise.3
     
     Joseph Woodsum, brother John, and their father appear on a list of Captain John Hill's company, on 22 October 1740 in Berwick.4
