John Gilman was baptized on 23 May 1626 in Hingham, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Edward Gilman and Mary Clarke.1 He of Exeter, New Hampshire, married Elizabeth Treworgye, daughter of James Treworgye and Katherine Shapleigh, on 30 June 1657.1 He died on 24 July 1708 at age 82.1
