     Joseph Morgan was baptized 23: 4: 1650 (23 June 1650) in First Church, Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Robert Morgan and Margaret Norman.1 He married first his first cousin Deborah Hart, daughter of John Hart and Florence Norman, on 12 July 1669 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He married second Sarah Hill, widow, on 25 October 1694.2 He died in October 1732 at age 82.1 His will, dated 23 October 1732, was probated 30 October 1732.2
     
     Joseph Morgan was a cooper, and lived in Beverly. He served in King Philip's War and was a grantee of Narragansett No. 3. He served on the Grand Jury in 1703, and was clerk of the Beverly Market for many years.2
