Ensign Walter Fairfield was born say 1631, probably in England.1 He was the son of John Fairfield and Elizabeth (—?—) (Fairfield-Palfrey).1 He married first Sarah Skipper, daughter of William Skipper and Sarah Fisher, on 28 December 1654 at Reading, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1 He married second Mrs. Sarah Whipple, widow of Joseph, intentions published on 8 April 1711 at Wenham, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 He died on 20 July 1723 in Wenham "in his 92d y[ear]."2,1
