John Sanders was the son of Lieut. John Sanders and Ann (—?—) (Sanders).1,2 He married Mary before October 1673.2 He died in August 1703.2

John Sanders was a Cape Porpus selectman 1669, lot layer in 1681 and 1689, and was on the coroner's jury 1685, though he and his wife Mary were of Boston in June 1684 where he deeded to Thomas Kimble the 1000 acres willed him by his father. He was in Scituate in 1693, but returned to Cape Porpus where he was wounded by Indians 10 August 1703. He escaped by getting among the bushes, but died of his wound about three days after reaching Wells.2
