     William Madison Heminger was born on 27 March 1827.1 He was the son of Davis Heminger and Margaret "Pega" Cordrey.1 He married Mary Rosalia Draime on 11 March 1851.2 He died on 9 December 1913 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, at age 86.2,3 He was buried in New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County.2
     
     William Madison Heminger was a wagon and carriage builder. In 1872, he began writing his name Hemmeger although it was never legally changed.2 He and Mary Rosalia Draime had nine children.2
