Jacob Farrer was baptized on 3 September 1641 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.3 He was the son of Jacob Farrer and Grace Deane.2 He married Hannah Hayward, daughter of George Hayward and Mary (—?—) (Hayward), on 11 November 1668 in Lancaster, Middlesex County (now Worcester), Massachusetts.1,4 He was killed in Monoco's raid on Lancaster in King Philip's War on 22 August 1675 at age 33.1
Jacob, with his mother Ann, and siblings John, Henry and Mary, left England to join his father in Lancaster, Massachusetts, in 1658.5 He signed the division order of his father-in-law George Hayward's estate, 23 September 1671.6 He is credited on the "Colony Book," under date of 23 September 1676, for military service under Captain Hunting, £2 18 0, and charged £0 13 0, leaving a balance uncancelled of £2 5 0.1 He died intestate. His widow, Hannah Farrer, was appointed administratrix of his estate and returned an inventory valued at £41 6s 05d, 3 October 1676, at Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.7
