Oliver Brooks Caldwell was born in 1846 in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas.2,4 He married Anna B. 'Annie' Morris, daughter of Anthony T. Morris and Margaret Harris, circa 1875.5 He died on 8 March 1926 in Harris County, Texas.1
Oliver had two older brothers, Charles Gallion and Walter Haynie, as well as a brother-in-law, Robert T. Hill, who were members of Terry's Texas Rangers.4
