     Isaac Vincent Davis was born on 6 July 1854 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. He was the son of Isaac S. Davis and Matilda Sophia V. Blakely. He was baptized on 10 July 1854 in Mobile.1 He died on 11 July 1854.2
     
     Isaac Vincent Davis was probably the five day old "son of J.S." who was buried 10 July 1854, in Mobile. (J and I are often confused). This Isaac, the youngest child of Isaac and Matilda Blakely Davis, is recorded in the family bible as "Isaac S. Davis Jun," but he was baptized Isaac Vincent Davis.3
