William Briant Richardson was born on 30 January 1822 in Madison County, Georgia.1 He was the son of Samuel Garthon Richardson and Celah Hackney. He married Juliett R. Posey, daughter of William Posey and Lisa (—?—), on 28 December 1855 in Greene County, Alabama.1 He died on 19 October 1891 in Delhi, Richland Parish, Louisiana, at age 69.1
