     Celah Hackney was born on 15 August 1792 in Johnston County, North Carolina.1 She was the daughter of William Hackney and Martha Cobb.1 On 23 December 1807, Samuel Garthon Richardson took out a marriage bond from the clerk of the court in Johnston County, North Carolina, as surety that there was no legal obstacle to the proposed marriage between he and Celah Hackney. John High was bondsman; A.S. Ballinger, witness.2 She died in September 1860 in Pickens County, Alabama, at age 68.3
