     Samuel Garthon Richardson was born in 1787 in Johnston County, North Carolina.1 He was the son of Applewhite Richardson and Nancy (—?—) (Richardson).1 On 23 December 1807, Samuel Garthon Richardson took out a marriage bond from the clerk of the court in Johnston County, North Carolina, as surety that there was no legal obstacle to the proposed marriage between he and Celah Hackney. John High was bondsman; A.S. Ballinger, witness.2 He died in Pickens County, Alabama.1
