Richardson was born on 17 October 1801 in Johnston County, North Carolina.1,2 He was the son of Applewhite Richardson and Nancy (—?—) (Richardson).1 He married Willy Holder, daughter of Josiah Holder and Mildred Holliman, on 22 November 1819 in Johnston County, North Carolina.1 He married Celia Holder, daughter of Josiah Holder and Mildred Holliman, in 1841 in Johnston County, North Carolina.1 He married Martha E. Stone on 7 April 1849 in Granville County, North Carolina.1 He died on 28 December 1875 in Johnston County, North Carolina, at age 74.1 He was buried the Applewhite W. Richardson Cemetery, Johnston County, North Carolina.2
