     Martha Simmons was born Wednesday, 11 July 1866 in Freestone County, Texas.1,2 She was the daughter of Reverend William Jared Simmons and Susannah Hahn.1 She married John O'Brine Bowlin on 23 January 1883.3 She died on 26 February 1934 at age 67.4
