     Maria Catharina Hahn was born on 29 July 1738 in Freckenfeld, Pfalz, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Johannes Hahn and Elizabeth Margaretha Forster.1 She married Simon Cron on 18 February 1757 in Canadochly Union Church, York County, Pennsylvania.1

Maria Catharina Hahn immigrated in 1751 to America with her parents Johannes Hahn and Elizabeth Hahn, and siblings Maria Margaretha Hahn, Anna Maria Hahn, Johann Jacob Hahn and Benedict Hahn. They arrived at Philadelphia on the ship Janet out of Rotterdam.2
