     David Burbank was born in 1770 in Arundel, York County, Maine.1 He was the son of Asa Burbank and Esther Emery.2 He married Susannah Stowell, daughter of Benjamin Stowell and Susanna Hersey, on 24 March 1796 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1
